Michelle Borowski
Personal Coach
My coaching journey started as a journey of self discovery, to find my most authentic self. What I realized along the way is that it was actually on an unmasking journey I was on. I was finally accommodating myself and my Autisic and ADHD (AuDHD) needs unapologetically. It's been tough and unfamiliar but so incredibly worth it. A realization I came to during this time was that I was sick of working jobs that were not a fit for me. That was when I decided to pursue getting my Spiritual Life Coach certification. After that I was fortunate to learn about Autism Personal Coach when the creator invited me onto the podcast they host. Back then I would never have imagined I'd be lucky enough to be on such an amazing team.
My coaching style is supportive, gentle, meeting the client where they are, and setting smaller goals to keep the momentum going. I have seen with myself and my clients that small goals are easier to begin and finishing them gives the motivation to start the next one. I want my clients to feel understood, seen, heard, validated, and supported. I know the importance of talking with someone who understands and how you feel. I bring empathy and comfort to the sessions. I let my clients know they are not alone, that I understand, and that there is nothing "wrong" with them for being autistic. Also, I suffer from Celiac Disease, which I know affects many autistics. This was tough to adjust and cope with, so I know first hand how hard it is to lose your favorite safe foods, but now I can help others going through the same thing.
Where can you find me when I am not coaching? Visiting family and friends, reading, painting, going for nature walks by myself and with loved ones. What brings me joy? Meditation, yoga, divination, the supernatural and paranormal, animals, the simple pleasures like watching the sun reflect off a leaf, and learning more but especially about my special interests spirituality, autism, and history.
